It's a retreat into the fullness of who you are — and who your team is capable of being. A curated experience built specifically for what your group carries into the room.
Book a Discovery CallA curated retreat at Canyon Ridge is for leaders who are done pretending that pushing harder is a strategy. It's for teams that have been through something — a hard season, a growth surge, a loss, a transition — and need more than a planning meeting to get back to themselves.
If you're looking for a conference agenda and breakout sessions, this isn't it. If you're looking for something that actually changes how your team operates, keep reading.
Pastors, ministry directors, church staff — people who pour out constantly and rarely receive. Teams who need permission to be human before they can lead well again.
Executive teams, nonprofit leaders, organizational directors navigating seasons of rapid growth, significant change, or the quiet exhaustion that doesn't show up on any report.
Teams who know their work matters, who feel the weight of it, and who need to reconnect with why they started — and with each other — before they can go further.
This is not a leadership conference with a Canyon Ridge backdrop. We don't run a generic program and hand you a workbook at the end. What happens here is built for your team, facilitated in real time, and designed to produce actual change — not just a good experience. That's why we start with a discovery call, not a booking form.
"This is something designed and created specifically for you and your heart — and what it needs in the moment."
Every retreat is built differently. This is a representative picture of what a three-day curated experience at Canyon Ridge might look like — not a fixed agenda, but a feel for the rhythm and intention of the work.
This is a representative schedule — your retreat is built around your team's specific needs, not a fixed program.
Great leaders don't just need strategy. They need stability — the kind that comes from the inside out. The Steady Path is the teaching framework Susan brings to every curated retreat. Six pillars developed over 30+ years of working with leaders who are tired of white-knuckling it through.
This isn't a seminar. It's experiential, embodied, and built into the fabric of how the retreat unfolds. Your team leaves with a language for what's been happening — and a way forward that actually holds.
Leading from who you actually are — not who the role demands you be.
Your body holds the data your mind can't access. We teach teams to use it.
Nervous system tools that work in the real world — boardrooms, hard conversations, high-stakes decisions.
Learning to communicate without fear holding the microphone.
Building teams where people actually trust each other — not just perform alongside each other.
Sustainable pace. Seasons of intensity with real recovery built in. The long game.
Most leadership teams have never had someone come alongside them and say: here's why you're exhausted, here's what your team actually needs, and here's how to build something that lasts.
That's what The Steady Path does when it's woven into a retreat experience. Not as a curriculum. As a lived encounter with each pillar — in your body, with your team, on this land.
A discovery call is the first step. We'll figure out together if this is the right fit.
Book a Discovery CallTeams leave with words for things they could previously only feel. That shared language changes how they communicate, navigate conflict, and support each other going forward.
Not temporary calm — actual tools. Things your people can use in a board meeting, a hard conversation, a moment of crisis. The regulation doesn't stay at Canyon Ridge.
Something shifts when people are honest in the same room. Teams that came in functioning leave having experienced real connection — the kind that shows up when the pressure comes back.
Not motivation from a speaker. Actual restoration. People leave with more in the tank than they arrived with — and they know how to protect it differently than they did before.
The noise gets quieter here. Vision that was buried under urgency becomes visible again. Teams leave knowing what they're building toward and why.
Canyon Ridge becomes a marker. Something your team refers to as before and after. The thing that made everything that followed it possible.
"The Retreat is the most peaceful place I've ever experienced. From the moment I arrived, I felt something shift. It's not just a place where healing happens — it's a place where wholeness is birthed. It gave me back to myself. There is nothing like it."
"You just appreciate them — their voices, how they talk to you, how they welcome you. You just know that they're there for you. Everything they bring to the table makes the experience so much better. I left and it was crazy. Nothing like it."
"There is a tangible peace or presence in this place that is absolutely amazing. I just feel lighter after being here. I had a peace I can't even articulate — and when I left I felt like I had new life and a fresh perspective."
We recommend reaching out at least 3 months in advance for a curated retreat to allow time for a discovery call, retreat design, and logistics. For venue-only rental, 4 weeks is typically sufficient. That said, reach out and let us know your timeline — we'll do our best to make it work.
With a venue rental, the space and meals are yours — you bring your own facilitator and agenda. With a curated retreat, Susan and her team build and facilitate the entire experience around your group's specific needs. Most teams who contact us are interested in the curated experience, but the discovery call will help us figure out what's the right fit for your group.
No. While Canyon Ridge has a rich spiritual history — it was built as a Catholic monastery in 1999 — and Susan brings her deep faith to the work she does, retreats here welcome leadership and ministry teams from all backgrounds. The work is about human wholeness, and that crosses every boundary.
Canyon Ridge has 10 ensuite bedrooms with 6 available for retreat guests. For single occupancy that's 6 guests; most rooms have two queen beds so groups can comfortably accommodate up to 12 with shared rooms. The intimate size is intentional — it's part of what makes the experience work.
The QEWB is an on-site wellness experience that combines quantum energy, bioelectricity, long-wave infrared heat, and vibroacoustic sound in one session. It's available to retreat guests as part of a curated experience, and it's also available to book independently — no retreat required. Learn more on the Quantum Wellness Bed page.
It's 30 minutes on Zoom with Susan. She'll ask about your team — who they are, what season you're in, what you're hoping a retreat does. You'll get a real sense of whether Canyon Ridge is the right fit, and if it is, what that experience could look like. No pressure, no pitch — just a conversation.
Start with a discovery call. 30 minutes with Susan to figure out what your team needs and whether Canyon Ridge is the right place to get it.
